Posted on June 7, 2018June 7, 2018Morning in the Woods Our main purpose was to cut a log blocking the creek trail. Kay brought her bear/cougar spray to protect us. Scott, our farm forester, was in the woods marking trees. We had an unplanned but welcome meeting as a result.
Posted on May 29, 2018Flowers and clear cutting. Beautiful poppy in front of the farmhouse. Roses galore! Lots of logs and a nice clear spot for new trees.
Posted on May 22, 2018Cats having fun. Hoss heads for the tree. Hoss climbs the tree. Hoss glowers menacingly from the tree. Luna watches for rodents on Bopcha’s steps. Torti is up there somewhere! There he is. Can you see the deer in the field?
Posted on May 21, 2018May is quickly coming to an end. Pre-Memorial Day clean up at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Our friend the Pilated Woodpecker has found another tree to love. Last of the scotch broom going down. Pretty flower in the woods. Cowboys have horses, Sid has the riding mower. Flat tire on the riding mower.
Posted on May 15, 2018Logging begins Logging has begun. We had to bushwhack our way to this location. View from the watershed road. Bianca worked so hard that she needed a dip in the swimmin’ hole! More progress on the little garage.
Posted on May 9, 2018May is here Trusses have been added to the little garage. Bill, Sid, Kay and Diana took about two hours to hang new sheer curtains in the farm living room. If you look closely, you will see Torti up in the tree. Guess who chased him there? Yep. Bianca.
Posted on April 29, 2018Sid and Kay You never know what Kay and Sid might find when they walk the farm together. Kay bonding with Bianca.
Posted on April 29, 2018Injuries, repairs, and Scotch Broom Sid hurt his ankle leaping over the ditch. His brace from urgent care is pictured. The riding mower stopped working. On to the repair shop!
